Trentham Brass is a 4th section band based in Staffordshire, whose aim is to advance the education of its players and the public in the art of brass band music.

It is active in the local community with the presentation of concerts, recitals and contests under the direction of Mike Caveney. Most recently, the band received a letter from Whitmore Hall saying "Trentham Brass did exactly what I expected of a top brass band. Everyone at Whitmore Hall on Sunday was full of praise for the repertoire and the very high standard of performance."

The band's players consist of a wide range of ages and abilities, including one current member of the National Youth Brass Band.

The band are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to compete in the Finals of the National Brass Band Championships to be held in Harrogate in September 2010, having qualified in the Midlands Regional Championships held in Bedworth, Warwickshire in 2010.

We have a number of our recent concerts and performances in our online photo gallery. You can filter by the locations of our latest photos either Stoke Minster Biddulph, Whit Friday, Trentham Gardens or everything from 2010

A big "Congratulations" to all the band on qualifying for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in Harrogate this September.

Also, congratulations to our star players, Tim, Rob and Ryan on being awarded Distinctions in their grade 8 music exams! Meanwhile our cornet players are making great strides with Louise passing Grade 4 with merit and Joe being chosen as "brass player of the year" at St. Joseph's College
